Biogas Facilities
Energy out of nature
Biogas is a natural decomposition product that develops when manure and other organic substances from agriculture, businesses and communities are fermented. It is used in block heat power plants (BHKW) for producing electricity and heat. The remaining residue can be converted into high-grade liquid fertilizer and valuable compost.
The Procedure is very simple:
The substances that have to be fermented are pumped into a heated, thermally insulated reinforced concrete tank (fermenter), where they ferment at temperatures between 35° and 38° Celsius under airtight conditions. The essential process energy produces itself. Bacteria decompose the biomass and produce gas that contains methane. With this biogas you can operate a block heat power plant that produces electricity and heat. The remaining residue is automatically led into a storage facility.
Plant construction and Safety
All plants of EnviTec Biogas are ready for acceptance tests by the Technical Inspection Agency and are standardised irrespective of their capacity. This has the following advantages:
- shorter construction periods
- lower investment
- minimized follow-up costs for maintenance and repair
- centralised stock-keeping of all parts that are relevant for smooth operation
- high operational reliability and faster setting-up times
By exactly weighing the feed-substrates and a mixing technology that intensively blends the substrates to make pulp, a solid and safe management of the biology is ensured. This liquid blend has another advantage, it prevents the surfacing of the silage.
